JC: Storyboard & animatic

So far I have had problems editing our storyboard clips. Because we have been using our master computer to produce the final project, for the animatic I have been a hermit, moving around the room to try and find a computer to use to edit our footage. On the initial computer, the video clip was not properly read by premier and did not appear. Following this I moved across the room but found the same problem. When I found a computer that did support our footage, after editing just sixteen seconds of the animatic our footage stopped playing, and although I tried to reload numerous times the footage would not work, whilst premier also crashed a number of times.

Since then, these problems have been resolved and I have been able to complete the animatic:

Whilst I have found the editing process to be useful as it has given me more experience of using premier (and a lot of practice in how to control my rage when it crashes), I feel our animatic could be improved. Whilst it is of adequate length, some of the shots seem particularly long, and to me it seems sometimes that we could be clearer on what we are trying to show.

  1. I think despite the problems in the way we have storyboarded our shoots is relitively in order and is still helpfull to picture however the animatic makes it alot easier when editing and can just replace the animatic storyboard shot with our footage.
