GROUP: Audience Feedback of Rough cut

Today we played a rough cut to our class and we recieved very positive feedback. Our rough cut entailed only of our performance shots with colour enhancement effects, this is only a rough cut of our final piece and we have planned to do another 6 layouts of the 6 different performance shots that we did and intercut each one in order to keep the interest of the music video and have a fast cutting rate, also we plan to intercut this with our Brighton abstract shots with a colour saturation.

Some of the feedback of the rough cut that the audience liked were, the effective use of lighting and how the colour change added to this effect. The performance looked authentic and fitted with the grain of voice. The camera movement used was very effective and worked well. Also upon filming the performance shots we were told after seeing the footage as our end result that it was a great improvement of what we were doing as we had taken on board the feedback given to us. We plan to continue this good work and take on further advice such as the fast cutting rate.

The way this compares to the fim opening we did last year is that we are constantly gathering more secondary and primary research to conform to our genre. Also we are then testing our target market more in order to create the authenticity of the music video and therefore standing up to repeatability.

  1. Today our audience feedback was good. With the use of our mise-en-scene and also our lighting, and our authenticity. However we it is still needing a lot of work with the integration of the Brighton footage and also fast cutting rate of our performance. Good start though.

  2. I think the screening was useful for us, as it allowed us to show that our creative ideas were effective.I think it is good that we already have all of our footage, so we can really get stuck into the editing process and hopefully get it finished early!
