Guys we need to decide where to put our advertisement, I think maybe a music magazine such as NME?
Also we need to decide whether to do a 8 pane digipak and one poster or a 4 pane digipak and two posters, we all need to contribute to them. I feel that we should do the 8 pane digipak and the single poster? I would be happy to work on the poster if you two work together on the digipak?
I think as we discussed in the lesson, we want to advertise in NME - similar indie rock genre bands such as The Dandy Warhols and Kasabian had adverts in the example copies we looked at.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the digipak/advert, I think what you have suggested is the best idea. If we all try to create our own pieces, I feel we may lose a sense of coninuity as all of the ideas will differ in some way. I have a good example of a six-pane album digipak from Radiohead which we can look at, but the difficult part will be how we create eight panes which are all interesting and have sufficient material on them to justify their inclusion.
I agree with Jack as doing the 8 pane digipak would be playing to our strengths as a group as it allows us to be more creative and work more collaboratively.
